About Meggie Hu

Meggie Hu M.Ed., B.Mus.

Ms. Meggie Hu holds a Master’s degree in Music Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Music (Piano) from the University of British Columbia. She also has two piano performer’s diplomas: ARCT (Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music), and LTCL (Licentiate of the London Trinity College of England).

Ms. Hu started learning music at the tender age of three and a half, and has enjoyed and appreciated music all her life. It is her goal to inspire and instill a lifelong love of music in her students. Besides teaching, Ms. Hu is also an experienced accompanist and choir conductor.

Ms. Hu has appeared on TV and in fundraising events as a special guest performer and as a guest speaker on Early Childhood Music Education and Child Development. She has been actively teaching piano and music theory from her studio located in Richmond, BC, Canada since 1994. Many of her students have gone on to win awards and trophies in competitive music festivals, as well as to receive First Class honours in the Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations.
